Getting Started

Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to CrossFit Zeke is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in regular CrossFit Zeke classes.

The On-Ramp is a dedicated course for newbies and consists of three sessions, in a small group setting. The course is just $30 and this will be deducted from your first month’s membership. On-Ramp is by-appointment with gym manager and coach, Clint Bevers.

Although it’s not mandatory, we highly recommend that all CrossFit-curious sign up for On-Ramp. Potential athletes will learn the basic functional movements of CrossFit, as well as how to get integrated into our main classes. After the three classes are completed the athlete can choose to sign up for membership and join the regular classes where coaches will continue to work closely with you and gradually increase the intensity of your workout.

Otherwise, first-timers must schedule a one-on-one personal introductory session with our gym manager, Clint Bevers.  There is no charge for this. Here you will be introduced to the basic, functional CrossFit movements and learn about the correct form so you can get started safely and with confidence. When you join the main classes, the coaches will continue to work with you to help you develop your technique and increase the intensity of your workout.

If you are already familiar with CrossFit methodologies and have trained in another certified location, we recommend that you still schedule a consultation with a coach to discuss your experience before joining in with our regularly scheduled classes.
